How we make dreams reality.

Writer: Sara ESara E

A little more about me.

My why is super important, I love helping people to be the best version of themselves.  To find the things that set their hearts on fire, and then help them to achieve them.  We all have dreams, things we would love to have in our lives and it's all possible with the right tools.

When I needed someone to help me, there wasn't anyone for me to turn to, so I had to do a lot of the leg work on my own.

My first client was myself, I worked my way through these tools and have crafted the life of my dreams.  It's still a work in progress, I'm always coming up with new ideas that I want to add to my dream.

Let me tell you about one dream I made a reality in more detail.

I have mobility issues so living in a house with stairs is a no, no.  We lived in an appartment and had no outside space, this wasn't an issue until Covid hit.  Being stuck inside with a primary aged child all those months was not fun.  We did go out to walk around, its just not the same as having your own garden.

I started to think about bungalows, I did a little research on right move as you do.  But that's as far as I went.  I didn't see anything that lit that fire inside of me.

Instead I spent some time picturing my ideal bungalow, I wrote a list of all the things that I would love to have in my dream home.  Outdoor space was high on the list.  Once I'd got my list I sat and pictured it in my mind.  What would it look like, what would it feel like to live there what would I smell and touch.

After a few months of visulising daily I felt brave enough to go back to right move.  There were plenty of bungalows but non that fit my vision of my perfect home and non that set my heart on fire.  I set up an alert, so I'd hear about new properties.  And I waited.

Then it happened, a bungalow came to the market that on paper was my dream.  We went and looked round and I liked it.

Something was niggling at me, I liked it but I didn't love it.  I went back to look round a second time, and there was this voice in my head shouting this isn't the one you're settling for less than you want.  I left the viewing and took a long walk, I decided if the voice was right our offer would be rejected; and it was.

Instead of jumping in with a higher offer I took a step back and chose to listen to my inner voice.

2 weeks later I got a new alert, on paper this one wasn't as near to the mark but something told me to go look round.  As soon as I saw the garden I knew this bungalow was the one.  I stept into the inside and the space was far better than it had appeared online.  It ticked every single thing on my list.  This time I took my time, I listened to my inner voice.  Somehow everytime I went for a walk I ended up outside this bungalow even though it was never on my route.  I took that as my sign, put in an offer and that was accepted.

Today I'm so happy and greatful that we live in that dream home, I wake up and the sounds, smells and things I touch are even better than I imagined them.  The space works beautifully for us and the outside space is every thing I dreamed it would be.

What are the takeaways from today:

1) if you can imagine it, you can find it;

2) trust your inner voice
